What are your fees?
I charge $250 per hour for individuals, couples and families. Consultations are usually 1.5 hours, which is $375.
I’m not on any insurance panels. Each insurance carve-out is a little bit different. Those whose insurance plans include “out-of-network” mental health benefits are often able to get reimbursed a certain portion of each session.

Will you just see my child, parents or the whole family?
That depends. With each family I work with, I assess how I can be most helpful. Sometimes that means that I primarily see the child or teen individually, other times, it varies depending on the session. When I can, I include parents, whether in family meetings and/or parent guidance sessions.
How do I know if this is the right time to begin therapy?
It’s not always clear-cut, but most people know. For adoptive parents, their intuition will tell them that something is wrong, for adoptees, they know that they’re feeling stuck or lost in some or many aspects in their lives. Getting help and opening up to a “stranger” can feel counter-intuitive. But, therapy can also be a wonderful, empowering experience. Also, if your child/teen tells you that they would be interested in seeing someone, there’s a good reason, even if they haven’t
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me (or my child)?
I’ve been doing this for a long time. I have a calm, responsive, positive style. I also bring 20 years of work with adoptees and parents to the therapeutic table. But, there are a few questions that might be helpful to consider in your decision. Can I learn to trust this person? Can I learn from this person? Can this person learn to understand me?
